The rapid evolution of digital technologies such as AI is dramatically changing all industries, governments, and people’s lives around the world. Not only can it solve various social issues in Asian countries, but it is also possible to create digital solutions that will sweep the world based on the track record and knowledge gained there.

Advancing manufacturing and logistics networks, reducing CO2 emissions, making food and agriculture smarter, expanding public services provided by government agencies, upgrading financial services such as payments, the latest user experiences in real stores and digital services, expanding medical services, and cultivating digital talent.Now is the time for companies, public institutions, and educational institutions in Asian countries, which continue to grow economically and have high potential, to organically collaborate and create new services and digital infrastructure for the development of regional economies and the happiness of local residents.The Nikkei Shimbun and Nikkei BP launched the “NIKKEI Digital Forum in ASIA” in 2023 with the aim of deepening Asia-led discussions, sharing advanced cases and knowledge, and promoting exchanges and collaborations between industry, government, and academia in each country. Following the first event held in Hanoi, Vietnam, the event will be held in Bangkok, Thailand in October 2024. The third event will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
